What to do – July 25


On Sunday July 25, the Brainerd American Legion will host a breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost for adults is $ 10. The cost for children is $ 5.

BACKUS – The Cass County 4-H Fur & Feather Club will be serving a chicken benefit dinner after the Sunday July 25 dance at the Backus American Legion.

Dinner, chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, a vegetable, a bun and a dessert for $ 10 a plate, will follow the music of Frankie Lamb’s Frankly County group from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The class of 1971 will hold their 50th class reunion on September 11 at the Dennis Drummond Wine Co.

PEQUOT LAKES – The Pequot Lakes All Class Reunion will take place on the weekend of August 7-8. Individual classes have meetings on Saturdays followed by an informal meeting at the Legion Club in Pequot. There is also a street dance at Pequot on Saturday night.

On August 8, all classes will meet at the high school at 12:30 p.m. for registration and socialization, followed by a brief business meeting and potluck lunch.

Participants are kindly requested to bring salads, hot dishes and desserts. All utensils are provided with meat, cheese, bread rolls and drinks.

The classes of 1970 and 1971 will be in the spotlight at this year’s reunion. All alumni, graduates and teachers are welcome to attend.

The annual Nisswa Lions Club Peach Sale in Colorado is tentatively set for August 4 at the Nisswa Fire Station and times will be announced on the Nisswa Lions Club Facebook page.

It will be first come, first served and in cash or by check only for $ 35 / pack.
