Publix launches its own range of vegan chicken fillets

Publix, the largest employee-owned grocery store, just released its own vegan chicken offerings in its stores. This vegan meat alternative is now available in 1,200 stores.

Publix Director of Communications Maria Brous, said, “Customers are asking for more plant-based options to incorporate into their diets. By developing these meatless products under our trusted GreenWise brand, we are providing our customers with high quality options to support their lifestyle.

With its customers in mind, Publix launched its Greenwise meatless burger in April. Along with other plant-based meat options, including jackfruit. They have already made it clear that they plan to expand their list of herbal options to meet the growing demand for meatless options.

Publix is ​​just one of many grocery stores that have started to launch their own lines of plant-based meats. Last year, Kroger expanded its Simple Truth line with an additional 50 products. Many of them are herbal alternatives such as cheese, meat substitutes, and salad dressings.

The Publix vegan chicken fillets are made to have that tender flavor of traditional chicken. They are breaded and fried with a deliciously meaty texture made from pea protein, bean protein and pea fiber.
