2 chicken restaurants open side by side in the Addison area


Two new restaurants, both very hungry for chicken, will open next to each other in a major center adjacent to Addison at 5000 Belt Line Rd.

Spatch Kitchen & Cocktails will be a chic full service place. His brother Sonny & Sons will be a fast-casual chicken-centric concept.

They come from Mondana Taghizadeh, who has already helped open restaurants such as Brined Southern Kitchen, Mezze, and Porcino. According to a statement, they will open in October.

Spatch Cuisine & Cocktails is described as an elegant but comfortable place that can accommodate 150 people which includes the dining area and patio, serving seasonal American cuisine with a southern touch.

They’ll be open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, Saturday and Sunday, with a menu that includes a casserole of Texas toast, crab omelet and soufflé pancakes, as well as salads and desserts. sandwiches.

The dinner menu includes old-fashioned cornbread and devil’s egg spread, as well as entrees like spatchcock chicken, speckled trout, Maine lobster, blackened Texas rockfish, shrimp. gulf and dry aged pork chops.

A full bar will offer beer, wine by the bottle and by the glass, as well as cocktails such as Sazerac, Pimm’s Cup and Martinis.

Son and son is a quick, casual spot with a menu that includes fried chicken, half birds, bird quarters, fillets, and sandwiches, all available at different heat levels.

Accompaniments include mac and cheese, collard greens, coleslaw, and flax potatoes.

The kitchen will also prepare donuts which will rotate daily, so you can end your meal with a donut or start your morning with a donut, since Sonny & Sons is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; pickup and delivery options are available through all major delivery companies.

Spatch goes into the space that was previously Cinco Tacos. Sonny & Sons will go to the adjacent space that was previously a short-lived venue called Cafe 67.

Before that, the whole space was an ambitious concept called Lazaranda Mexican Kitchen, a spinoff of a Mexican restaurant that tasted good but never found its place, although it wasn’t for lack of trying.
